Lauren-Blair Donovan

Heya, I'm Lauren-Blair Donovan!  I used to blog a lot about fashion and concerts, but then I moved to Los Angeles to pursue comedy full time.  I still blog about outfits sometimes, as well as my weird comedy life, and deeper topics like grief as I lost my dad as a teen and lost my mom in the summer of 2018.

If you want to catch me live, all of the social media below is the best way to see me perform comedy. A brief comedy resume of acts and groups that I'm associated with is below.

Pinup Squirrels: Sneakily female comedy troupe. We perform both improv and sketch, as well as host a sketch competition show (Sketch Slam) at UCB's Inner Sanctum the third Saturday of every month at 5:30PM.
Springsteen and Joel: Two-prov team with Joshua Han (named after famous musicians we share a birthday with).
Side Friend: Harold style improv team.
Raquel & Friends: My puppet sketch project! I write sketches featuring one puppet and all humans and typically nobody calls out that it's a puppet on stage, making it a weird world.  (I have a regular home for these sketches I'll be announcing soon, but for now me and my trusty rotating cast of talented actors bebop all around town).

Other Notable Projects:
The Chunky Zeta: Season 2 staff writer. Episode 2.3 I wrote and all episodes can be found on Amazon Prime. New episodes coming sometime in the future. TBA.
Puppets Amok: Founding member, though for the foreseeable future I've opted to step away to focus on other endeavors.

Here's the introduction I made when I started this blog!

Go CUBS!

Hey, all!  I'm a big baseball fan and my mom is from Chicago so I grew up hearing about the Cubs history and am pretty amped to be here at game 7!  Anyone else into this year's World Series or have a fan favorite they're rooting for?
Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick post showing my fandom!  I decided to be silly and wear my Cubs tee with a skirt (same as my zombie skirt) from Retrolicious via ModCloth with bears all over them...get it?  Hehe. I'm not into totally normal sports attire, as I exhibited HERE. Stay safe tonight if you're out watching tonight!

Win $100 Towards a JORD Watch!

What time is it?  THE TIME IS NOW.  Okay, now that I've gotten my favorite line from a Kids in the Hall sketch that I saw when I was 12 out of my system let's get to business!  The time is actually time to register for a watch giveaway and/or get a coupon, all thanks to JORD Watches. (Pronounced "Youd" as in like toad or road.  OR "Yoda" with no "a.")

Check out THIS LINK to try to get $100  towards a JORD watch and free sizing AND shipping.  This will go on for two weeks, so hop to it!  You can also get a $25 coupon with the code "blairosaurus" over the next two weeks too.  And if there's any menfolk out there reading, JORD has both women and mens watches.  Yay!

I'm rocking the Frankie Purple and Plum and seriously loving it.  I love how big the face is and it compliments my hair and many of my frequent signature colors that I wear.  The watches are made from wood so they're very durable and sturdy.  I thought the watches w…

Comedy and Tragedy

It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times.  I generally hate cliche quotes that can easily be slapped on memes or on the coffee mug of a basic b!tch, but I'm hard pressed to find a better phrase to describe my life currently.  In short: I've been having the most fun that I've ever had in the eight months since I moved to LA, but then the emergency breaks got slammed on my life when my mother fell gravely ill and passed away two weeks later on June 6th.
I'm currently back in LA, after being gone for three weeks.  I'm looking forward to continuing my comedy journey, as I feel it will save me from myself at this time.  But while I'm functioning okay as I'm still in a great deal of shock and my current mode is auto pilot, certain hours of the day prove to me that I'm very jumbled up and confused about my mom's passing.  I suddenly don't know what I'm in for and I don't know what I'm doing.
Not knowing what I'm doing …
