Atlanta's Center for Puppetry Arts

I took a last minute trip to Atlanta, Georgia and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a museum not only dedicated to puppets, but two thirds of said museum dedicated to Jim Henson's puppetry.  I had seen the Jim Henson Exhibit when it went to Skirball in Los Angeles over the summer with my former puppet team, though I never posted photos from there on here despite making a draft (maybe one day I'll do that!).  Center for the Puppetry Arts in Atlanta was amazing and made me the happiest puppeteer in all of the world.  Here are some photos from that trip!

 Price of admission.
Kermit stole my pose idea...
If I was the type of girl to do vision boards I'd put this photo of Jim Henson's office on my vision board over a photo that represents a trip to Europe...
Trying to take a photo in uneven lighting with a light up stained glass backlighting you is oh-so-fun....😞
Oh hey, just watching the television set in the 1950s!
Change of address.  Checking to see if my mail has been forwarded yet...
 Peeping Toms.
They told me the earth is round and they've seen it from space, people!
I only befriend people who also have resting bitch faces.
I think I'm a dark crystal.  I'm sparkly and yet morbid.
Left handed versus right handed puppeteers (he wins).
 Hanging with Raquel's grandma!
This was both creepy and interesting to me.
You can find me down in Fraggle Rock 👏👏
I felt dressed down next to Dr Teeth.
Me in front of my self portrait.
I'm never too old for story time.
I'm not a mathematician but I don't think that's the order you count in.
My lifelong friend Casey! We watched a lot of Mystery Science Theater 3000 together growing up!
Wanna hear a knock knock joke?
 Basically my fantasy living room.
I hate memes but I'm turning myself into one for this!
I don't know why he didn't pant too.
Why do I feel like someone is creeping up behind me??
I wave to my friends and they all are polite enough to wave back.

There you have it!  I wore a ModCloth dress from two or so years ago and B.O.C. shoes from DSW that I cannot recommend enough because they're so comfortable.

Follow my antics and nonsense on social media please!

Hey, all!  I'm a big baseball fan and my mom is from Chicago so I grew up hearing about the Cubs history and am pretty amped to be here at game 7!  Anyone else into this year's World Series or have a fan favorite they're rooting for?
Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick post showing my fandom!  I decided to be silly and wear my Cubs tee with a skirt (same as my zombie skirt) from Retrolicious via ModCloth with bears all over them...get it?  Hehe. I'm not into totally normal sports attire, as I exhibited HERE. Stay safe tonight if you're out watching tonight!

Comedy and Tragedy

It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times.  I generally hate cliche quotes that can easily be slapped on memes or on the coffee mug of a basic b!tch, but I'm hard pressed to find a better phrase to describe my life currently.  In short: I've been having the most fun that I've ever had in the eight months since I moved to LA, but then the emergency breaks got slammed on my life when my mother fell gravely ill and passed away two weeks later on June 6th.
I'm currently back in LA, after being gone for three weeks.  I'm looking forward to continuing my comedy journey, as I feel it will save me from myself at this time.  But while I'm functioning okay as I'm still in a great deal of shock and my current mode is auto pilot, certain hours of the day prove to me that I'm very jumbled up and confused about my mom's passing.  I suddenly don't know what I'm in for and I don't know what I'm doing.
Not knowing what I'm doing …
