Bad Hair Day in a Fun Outfit

Happy Tuesday!  I just love wearing pinks with "scary" prints, like skeletons.  This mauve Members Only Washed Satin Boyfriend jacket is just perfect for any girl with some rocker and gothic sensibilities but doesn't want to look like EVERYONE else who wears darker prints.  And as I've said a few times now, I freakin' love these jackets!  They're silky soft to the touch and perfect for light layering.  For those of you who experience winter, know that spring is just around the corner and taking a gander at these jackets and all of the colors they come in will totally be worth it!

This is one of my favorite Folter dresses because it's a skeleton dress with a Peter Pan collar, which somehow makes it demure.  This style combo is just too fun!  I got it from the now defunct Lovely in Lilac, but it's available on both Folter's main site and ModCloth.  This polka dot Kate Spade bag is a low key way of mixing prints. (Word to the wise: polka dots or stripes are ALWAYS the easiest way to mix prints if you're just starting to experiment)  Any excuse I have to wear my Jeffrey Campbell Barbie wedges (similar) is a great day in my book, so I was glad to whip these bad boys out again.

Like my hair?  It's...interesting.  I took a video of my puppet lip syncing to the Foo Fighters in this outfit and my hair looks fine.  Something about the way it photographed made the bun on my right side...stringy.  I was all dressed up, ready to leave the house for the evening, AND the sun was setting so I had no time to fix it.  Style Bloggers: they're just like everyone else with bad hair days!

XOXO

Go CUBS!

Hey, all!  I'm a big baseball fan and my mom is from Chicago so I grew up hearing about the Cubs history and am pretty amped to be here at game 7!  Anyone else into this year's World Series or have a fan favorite they're rooting for?
Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick post showing my fandom!  I decided to be silly and wear my Cubs tee with a skirt (same as my zombie skirt) from Retrolicious via ModCloth with bears all over them...get it?  Hehe. I'm not into totally normal sports attire, as I exhibited HERE. Stay safe tonight if you're out watching tonight!

Win $100 Towards a JORD Watch!

What time is it?  THE TIME IS NOW.  Okay, now that I've gotten my favorite line from a Kids in the Hall sketch that I saw when I was 12 out of my system let's get to business!  The time is actually time to register for a watch giveaway and/or get a coupon, all thanks to JORD Watches. (Pronounced "Youd" as in like toad or road.  OR "Yoda" with no "a.")

Check out THIS LINK to try to get $100  towards a JORD watch and free sizing AND shipping.  This will go on for two weeks, so hop to it!  You can also get a $25 coupon with the code "blairosaurus" over the next two weeks too.  And if there's any menfolk out there reading, JORD has both women and mens watches.  Yay!

I'm rocking the Frankie Purple and Plum and seriously loving it.  I love how big the face is and it compliments my hair and many of my frequent signature colors that I wear.  The watches are made from wood so they're very durable and sturdy.  I thought the watches w…

Comedy and Tragedy

It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times.  I generally hate cliche quotes that can easily be slapped on memes or on the coffee mug of a basic b!tch, but I'm hard pressed to find a better phrase to describe my life currently.  In short: I've been having the most fun that I've ever had in the eight months since I moved to LA, but then the emergency breaks got slammed on my life when my mother fell gravely ill and passed away two weeks later on June 6th.
I'm currently back in LA, after being gone for three weeks.  I'm looking forward to continuing my comedy journey, as I feel it will save me from myself at this time.  But while I'm functioning okay as I'm still in a great deal of shock and my current mode is auto pilot, certain hours of the day prove to me that I'm very jumbled up and confused about my mom's passing.  I suddenly don't know what I'm in for and I don't know what I'm doing.
Not knowing what I'm doing …
