Long Sleeved Shirt Dress Season!

Hey, everyone!  My goodness, life has been nutty lately!  I'm so behind on posting!  Luckily today not only features a new blog post but it has a corresponding video!  That's right, I'm finally getting back into the YouTube game.  After almost a year off (not counting Just Shair) I've decided it's time to go back into reviewing clothes, make-up, and books on YouTube PLUS I will be adding my own comedy videos on my channel later this year.  Please subscribe because I'll totally love you forever (click HERE)!

The dress I'm wearing is from ModCloth and it's called the Most Delightful to Date Shirt Dress.  If you click the above video, you will see that I appropriately make fun of this name (sorry, ModCloth). I really love this dress because I love those late 1960s-early 1970s dresses that have a secretary feel.  There's bonus points for this dress as there's a LOT of mixing prints, which is basically my favorite thing ever.  This is a perfect fal…

Madame Tussauds in NYC Review

Hey!  I don't usually do travel posts, but I had a blast in NYC two weeks ago with a dear friend of mine.  I grew up a little less than 2 hours from the city so I went there all of the time, but it had been FOREVER and a day since I did anything touristy.  My friends and I opted to do a few touristy things, as well as some local stuff.  Here is the first part of what will be a 3 part series about my time in New York the first week of the September. I went to Madame Tussauds and all I got was Tyra Banks telling me I was no longer in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model.  RuPaul seemed to bask in the fact that I had to pack my bags and go home.
I'm not going to lie...I'm coming out with guns blazing on this first one by starting out with my least favorite attraction/activity we did first.  Madame Tussauds is very famous if you have a lot of Facebook friends who have posted photos of themselves here OR you follow celebrity news closely.  Upon going here and…

Retrolicious Umbrella Dress: Fall Styling

We are officially in the last days of summer!!  Fall starts later this week but for many parts of the country it'll stay warm throughout the first few weeks of autumn.  Here is a dress with umbrellas all over it from Retrolicious.  Admittedly it's probably more appropriate for spring, but the navy and red in the dress were dying to be styled for fall.
One of the easiest tricks for "autumn-izing" (yes, we're making up new words now here on Grace Rock Kelly Roll) sundresses is to just add boots to the look.  As as it gets chillier you can add a cardigan or light blazer/jacket to the dress with the boots to bundle up more without ditching the dresses.
Above you will see that this is a button down the back dress.  They can be tricky when dressing by yourself!  My trick?  Turn the dress so the back is in the front and button all the way up to the second  to last or  last button (whichever is easiest) and then turn the dress to it's proper place.  From there button…

ModCloth's It's an Inspired Taste Dress in Birds Dress

Hello and welcome to another Friday!  I've been slow at posting this week due to some BIG things I'm cooking up in life.  I know that's cryptic (😜) but I will announce what's up when things are more gelled, which I'm hoping will be as early as next week ::knock on wood::  I did get to posting on Blair Uncensored a few times though, including a piece about Disney World mythologies and why Grace Kelly isn't more famous in death than she is.  Have at it if you need some weekend reading!
Unfortunately the dress I'm wearing is from last year. and is discontinued  It's by ModCloth and it was called It's an Inspired Taste Dress in birds (it also came in vegetables and in the solid color sage).  ModCloth tends to re-release a bunch of cuts/styles in different prints seasonally or yearly and I was really hoping this one would make the rounds again this past summer or into this fall.  Maybe it eventually will, but so far there's no sign of it.  This is on…
