Pinup Girl Clothing Love and Rockets Jenny Skirt

Happy Monday!  Apologies for taking nearly a week off.  It's been one helluva a hectic summer for me and I just needed to go dark and work on some other stuff last week.  But now...I'm baaaaccckkk! How was everyone's weekend?  I went to see Depeche Mode and got to hang out with one of my best friends and his kid.  And for the rest of the weekend I chilled OUT!  Ha.

Pinup Girl Clothing recently did a collaboration with Los Bros. Hernandez comics and this Love and Rockets Dance Party Print in Jenny Skirt is one of the items.  Initially I didn't realize it was a collaboration as I don't know a ton about comics (I only ever read comics as a kid featuring cartoons I already knew, a la Animaniacs).  But I thought the dancing people border print was so cool.  It's retro, timeless, and totally fun.

Wearing mostly black seemed like the best way to go for styling this outfit for the first time.  I LOVE these ModCloth wedges as well as my J Crew basic black tee shirt, as they are both total staples in my closet.  I usually LOVE colors over anything, but everyone has to have some basic black pieces in their wardrobe, ya know?  I thought my Luxulite Mahong bracelet went well with this skirt as the colors on it match.  And then to round everything off and added some further whimsey I went for my red Showgirls themed brooch.  Check out my Instagram story to see close-ups (follow me HERE).

I hope everyone is happy to be alive this Monday and has an awesome week!
XOXO

Go CUBS!

Hey, all!  I'm a big baseball fan and my mom is from Chicago so I grew up hearing about the Cubs history and am pretty amped to be here at game 7!  Anyone else into this year's World Series or have a fan favorite they're rooting for?
Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick post showing my fandom!  I decided to be silly and wear my Cubs tee with a skirt (same as my zombie skirt) from Retrolicious via ModCloth with bears all over them...get it?  Hehe. I'm not into totally normal sports attire, as I exhibited HERE. Stay safe tonight if you're out watching tonight!

Win $100 Towards a JORD Watch!

What time is it?  THE TIME IS NOW.  Okay, now that I've gotten my favorite line from a Kids in the Hall sketch that I saw when I was 12 out of my system let's get to business!  The time is actually time to register for a watch giveaway and/or get a coupon, all thanks to JORD Watches. (Pronounced "Youd" as in like toad or road.  OR "Yoda" with no "a.")

Check out THIS LINK to try to get $100  towards a JORD watch and free sizing AND shipping.  This will go on for two weeks, so hop to it!  You can also get a $25 coupon with the code "blairosaurus" over the next two weeks too.  And if there's any menfolk out there reading, JORD has both women and mens watches.  Yay!

I'm rocking the Frankie Purple and Plum and seriously loving it.  I love how big the face is and it compliments my hair and many of my frequent signature colors that I wear.  The watches are made from wood so they're very durable and sturdy.  I thought the watches w…

Ocean Front Members Only

Is this a style post only I could bring you or what?  Not only did I mix prints (three times, as the Forever 21 shirt is gingham, the ModCloth briefcase is dinosaur printed, and my true vintage skirt is an ocean front border print!) but I'm mixing vintage with modern fashion.  It seems that many vintage-y bloggers tend to stray from any trends, which is silly to me because these bomber jackets are SO comfortable and practical for between seasons weather (and frankly, Members Only IS a vintage brand)!  I tied this whole look together with using the Members Only Satin Washed Boyfriend Jacket in burgundy with these platform heels from Amazon by Dadawen.  I feel the burgundy bookends bounce off the greens and blues nicely.

How's everyone's week been?  Thanks for allowing me to take a week off!  Not only did I have obligations at the Comedy Central Stage and the Upright Citizen's Brigade stage this week, but I was hosting one of my very best friends who came to visit me!  …
