A Very Rainbow Wrangler 70th Anniversary

Hello and welcome to Thursday!  If you loved last week's denim cropped jacket from Wrangler's 70th anniversary release you are in luck!  Continuing on with the 70th anniversary collection I have this awesome fun and retro Wrangler outfit and it totally highlights the brand's classic and vintage sensibilities--which makes me LOVE the Wrangler!

The shirt is called the 70th Anniversary Wrangler Logo Screen Print Loose Tee and I love it's late 70s and early 80s vibes.  It satiates my quest to find more early 80s vintage (true and repo alike) that involves this American rocker vibe over the 80s stereotype of shoulder pads and outfits Madonna wore.  This is a cool logo tee because it reminds me of several band tees, and I would know because I have a million of them!  Naturally I had to commit to the whole look and wear these rainbow tube socks (you can find them on Amazon).

Denim mini skirts are definitely back in style!  I used to wear a lot more jean skirts a few years back but they were from mall stores like Forever 21.  Upon receiving this one in the mail, I could never go back cheapo denim!  This 70th Anniversary Cut-Off Mini Skirt is soft yet sturdy fabric.  The fraying around the edges not only looks good, but it doesn't feel like it will continue to fray on it's on, ya know?  I've said it before and I will say it again: Wrangler's been around for a while for good reason!  They truly do denim right!  They make quality products and they know how the fit should be.  Both Wrangler pieces in this post are XS and they are perfect: they fit as they should and are slightly relaxed, as these particular styles should be.  Also, this skirt has stretch in case any inquiring minds are curious!

Rounding out the outfit I opted for my orange to yellow hombre Converse shoes from DSW.    Very few outfits I own have both yellow and orange in them, so this seemed like a natural pairing!  My Dooney and Bourke Pebble Grain Sawyer fit both the color scheme as well as the look of the whole outfit.  I recently got these Kate Spade Spice Things Up Snake Earrings and the color scheme also matched perfectly, so I HAD to give them a place in this outfit!
I hope everyone has had a good week!  You may have noticed that my posting has been all over the place lately.  I try to do a minimum of 3 posts a week on each blog, but I've been barely eking out 2 on here and 1 on Blair Uncensored for the past several weeks.  I'm dealing with some anemia issues and for a while I was on the upswing, but lately it's gotten more complicated.  I went back on iron pills last week, which I was trying to avoid by eating healthy because the supplements are rough on my system.  I've done this in the past with good results.  This time I could tell I was losing that battle, so I went back on iron and now I'm feeling worse most days than I was before.  This can happen and I knew I was prone to side effects, so at least I'm not surprised.  I'm hoping in a week or two I'll be adjusted to the new vitamin regime.  But in the meantime I don't want to over promise!  Thank-you for understanding!

Hey, all!  I'm a big baseball fan and my mom is from Chicago so I grew up hearing about the Cubs history and am pretty amped to be here at game 7!  Anyone else into this year's World Series or have a fan favorite they're rooting for?
Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick post showing my fandom!  I decided to be silly and wear my Cubs tee with a skirt (same as my zombie skirt) from Retrolicious via ModCloth with bears all over them...get it?  Hehe. I'm not into totally normal sports attire, as I exhibited HERE. Stay safe tonight if you're out watching tonight!

Ocean Front Members Only

Is this a style post only I could bring you or what?  Not only did I mix prints (three times, as the Forever 21 shirt is gingham, the ModCloth briefcase is dinosaur printed, and my true vintage skirt is an ocean front border print!) but I'm mixing vintage with modern fashion.  It seems that many vintage-y bloggers tend to stray from any trends, which is silly to me because these bomber jackets are SO comfortable and practical for between seasons weather (and frankly, Members Only IS a vintage brand)!  I tied this whole look together with using the Members Only Satin Washed Boyfriend Jacket in burgundy with these platform heels from Amazon by Dadawen.  I feel the burgundy bookends bounce off the greens and blues nicely.

How's everyone's week been?  Thanks for allowing me to take a week off!  Not only did I have obligations at the Comedy Central Stage and the Upright Citizen's Brigade stage this week, but I was hosting one of my very best friends who came to visit me!  …
