Retrolicious Peggy Dress

About the Outfit:  Hey all!  Happy Monday!  How about this Retrolicious Peggy dress??  I've wanted it since it came out close to a year ago and recently I've acquired it.  I read a few reviews on it and read that it wasn't as much white and blue but a blush pink and blue.  None of the photos I saw of women in it seemed to support this, but sure enough upon opening my package I did see that is is blush and blue!  It's really faint and I'm not sure it reads in my photos either, despite trying to pair it against purples to make it pop and a light pink purse to show it's true colors.  This color change is a good thing as I happen to love blush and dusty blue, especially together!  I think it makes the dress more fun!

I feel the Peggy dress runs ever so slightly big, but that's not a problem my washer/dryer won't fix.  I feel like a lot of my Folter/Retrolicious dresses are a little large to begin with, but they do shrink in the wash.  I'm wearing a size small and unless it's their skirts I'm always a small (in their skirts I do NEED an XS).  I've tried their XS dress size once but it was too tight around my rib cage and sat too high and close to my armpits to be comfortable, so I stick with the smalls.

Style Details:  As I mentioned above, I tried to play around with a few different hues to enhance the color turnout in the photos.  I spaced on getting a close-up of the print (apologies), but you can magnify your screens or click on the links below where the dress is sold to see more thorough details!  Sorry, I was super sleepy when I took these pictures and didn't go through my usual check list!

How was everyone's weekends?  I had to cancel my Friday night plans due to an allergy headache, filmed Just Shair stuff on Saturday, and had brunch with one of my best friends Sunday + showed Shannon, my Just Shair partner, the comedic masterpiece, Burning Love, last night.  If you haven't seen Burning Love it's a movie set up like a show and it parodies The Bachelor.  In the first season genius comedic actor, Ken Marino, plays hella stupid Mark Orlando, a firefighter looking for love on a reality dating show.  Some of the best and brightest comedic actresses play women looking to win his heart (Kristen Bell, June Diane Raphael, Natasha Leggero, a surprise actress in a panda suit, Deanna Russo, and...Ken Jeong!)  It's seriously one of the best under the radar comedies from the past 10 years, so if you can get your hands on it please watch!

Speaking of funny business plus my comedy partner, Shannon, we have a new video out and several coming out over the next few weeks!  We released our second blooper video last week, and frankly both blooper videos are my favorite thus far!  You see our real personalities, friendship, and general interaction come out during mess-ups, tangents, and distractions!  Please watch and follow us on social media if you like to laugh!  Have a great Monday friends!  XO

  1. Loved the video, I really laugh and I love it! Shannon singing Happy Faaall great and you - it's called autumn :) What were you drinking, red wine or coke? Anyway, just to say I like this video and that I hope you recovered from the allergy headache. I can see the pink and blue colors on the dress and I found it so sweet! The shoes and cardi are also great and you look very beautiful! Are you writing about the Women's March and Ashley Judd? If so, I am eager to read about it! Hope you have a nice week!

  2. What a really cute dress on you! I Love the style, colour and the fabric print! :)

  3. You look like a 1950's dream in this outfit! <3 Love the combo of the blue and purples! I have a dress just like this with the blush affect, the PUG Paris dress looks white with blue in all the pics online but is really a slightly blush background. It's interesting how that goes.
