Greetings. This is a slightly different post than usual as I used more filters and such on this photoset than normal. I think it works because I'm using my brother's TransAM as a backdrop and am wearing 70s inspired duds. These photos are feeling extra vintage-y!
Before I continue...can anyone guess where the blog post title, "Side of the Road," came from? I'll give you a few hints: he's a singer/songwriter, is considered something of a musical genius, and each album is a little bit different than the next. Answer at the bottom of the post!
Anyway, I love these 70s inspired pants from ModCloth that I got on clearance ($19.99!) earlier this year. They've been perfect knock around jeans for colder days while still keeping some of my personal and largely based vintage style. They're really long so wearing some kind of heels is basically a must. Are you guys sick of these Jessica Simpson heeled platform sandals yet? Haha, I'm not! I own them in white too but I've definitely worn these yellow babies a lot this summer!
The rest of the outfit is rounded off by a Forever 21 bodysuit, a NicCoco Creations hair flower, H&M aviators, a necklace from Charming Charlie, and a Kate Spade bag that I don't wear nearly enough.
You'd think that I would have used my love of hair metal as my blog post title (seriously, how many music videos had chicks all over cars in that genre?!) but instead I went with a Beck song! Beck is pretty up there in my musical favorites and this not as well known song is seriously a beautiful and lonely anthem. As there aren't too many roads near me that I've deemed safe to take outfit photos on, I figured I'd use a road based song title for a car shoot!
