The background is Denver is the silliest city ever. From May through September there's a well organized and popular bike ride on every Wednesday that is a theme party on wheels. One week it's Unicorns, Fairies and Rainbows and the next it's Space Invaders. In 2012 July 4th fell on a Wednesday, so naturally it was "Murica. F*ck Yeah!" (For international readers the theme as well as how we dressed for it was very heavy on the irony and not exactly literal). I classed it up with a sleeve of fake tattoos of guns, tanks and eagles and only wore this bikini top for the whole day. I'm happy to show off these photos for y'all because sometimes style blogging doesn't lend itself to showing off my sense of humor too often, which is a HUGE part of my personality. Happy weekend to all, those celebrating and not! And please, be safe!!!
For those who are Animal Planet watchers, yes that is Peter Hammarstedt from Whale Wars on the right. We were close friends in high school (in Pennsylvania) and he was randomly at this event, as was another friend from high school (left).
