Oh, Deer!

I've been somewhat recently turned onto Zulily.  I'm a little late to the party here, but I first looked at it a year or so ago and nothing enticed me so I never went back.  But then I heard Tatyana was doing a sale there in February and my interest got peaked.  Not only have I been checking back at that site semi frequently, but I have also been sporting some fun outfits from Tatyana (brand: Beach Bash) that I got from Zulily's awesome sale (seriously, things were a fraction of the price).  One of the items I purchased was this deer print top.  I've been in need of more pinup tops and that has been my main shopping goal of 2015 and majority of my purchases.  Being such a skirt queen, you'd think that I would have long ago thought about the 'other separate' that is tops...but nope, I just stayed focused on skirts!  I don't mind the basic tank top with a mid-century skirt because it modernizes it slightly, but I also want to experiment more with full on pinup looks as well.  This shirt was a great purchase for such a goal like that, especially since it's a novelty print!

I paired this with my white Hell Bunny Paula skirt that I found on eBay a year ago and wore my Hell Bunny petticoat from ModCloth to give it some extra body for the photos.  The shoes are a pinkish beige from the brand Not Restricted.  I found them at DSW for $15 earlier this year and have been dying to wear them, but had to wait for it to not be so wet out because they're suede!  I recently found these heart shaped beige and brown toned sunglasses from Forever 21 that paired perfectly with the shirt, and my blue hair flower from Sophisticated Lady Flowers rounds everything out by bring out the blue in the blouse.  Here's the rest of the photoset!

  15. Love the sky blue and beige combination of this outfit. And your hair flower is the perfect touch! You look absolutely gorgeous. I've noticed that Zulily has had some retro flare sales recently. Besides Tatyana, I've seen them sell Seychelles and BAIT Footwear too. I'll be checking them out more often.

Go CUBS!

Hey, all!  I'm a big baseball fan and my mom is from Chicago so I grew up hearing about the Cubs history and am pretty amped to be here at game 7!  Anyone else into this year's World Series or have a fan favorite they're rooting for?
Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick post showing my fandom!  I decided to be silly and wear my Cubs tee with a skirt (same as my zombie skirt) from Retrolicious via ModCloth with bears all over them...get it?  Hehe. I'm not into totally normal sports attire, as I exhibited HERE. Stay safe tonight if you're out watching tonight!

Win $100 Towards a JORD Watch!

What time is it?  THE TIME IS NOW.  Okay, now that I've gotten my favorite line from a Kids in the Hall sketch that I saw when I was 12 out of my system let's get to business!  The time is actually time to register for a watch giveaway and/or get a coupon, all thanks to JORD Watches. (Pronounced "Youd" as in like toad or road.  OR "Yoda" with no "a.")

Check out THIS LINK to try to get $100  towards a JORD watch and free sizing AND shipping.  This will go on for two weeks, so hop to it!  You can also get a $25 coupon with the code "blairosaurus" over the next two weeks too.  And if there's any menfolk out there reading, JORD has both women and mens watches.  Yay!

I'm rocking the Frankie Purple and Plum and seriously loving it.  I love how big the face is and it compliments my hair and many of my frequent signature colors that I wear.  The watches are made from wood so they're very durable and sturdy.  I thought the watches w…

Ocean Front Members Only

Is this a style post only I could bring you or what?  Not only did I mix prints (three times, as the Forever 21 shirt is gingham, the ModCloth briefcase is dinosaur printed, and my true vintage skirt is an ocean front border print!) but I'm mixing vintage with modern fashion.  It seems that many vintage-y bloggers tend to stray from any trends, which is silly to me because these bomber jackets are SO comfortable and practical for between seasons weather (and frankly, Members Only IS a vintage brand)!  I tied this whole look together with using the Members Only Satin Washed Boyfriend Jacket in burgundy with these platform heels from Amazon by Dadawen.  I feel the burgundy bookends bounce off the greens and blues nicely.

How's everyone's week been?  Thanks for allowing me to take a week off!  Not only did I have obligations at the Comedy Central Stage and the Upright Citizen's Brigade stage this week, but I was hosting one of my very best friends who came to visit me!  …
